Purpose
Crossreel helps individual creators publish their own original short videos. It is intended as a user-facing service, not as a private uploader for accounts controlled by the developer.
What the recording demonstrates
- Opening the public Crossreel website and @crossreelbot.
- Starting Login Kit and viewing TikTok's official consent screen.
- Returning to Crossreel and seeing the connected TikTok identity.
- Uploading an original test video owned by the creator.
- Retrieving current Creator Info and rendering the permitted settings.
- Manually selecting privacy and interaction/disclosure settings.
- Reviewing the complete final plan and explicitly confirming the upload.
- Waiting for publication status and opening the resulting TikTok post.
Scope explanations
user.info.basic is used only to read the connected creator's open ID and display name. video.publish is used only after explicit confirmation to create the selected post. Crossreel does not request video.upload in its OAuth authorization request.
Crossreel does not publish when an account is connected, does not preselect TikTok privacy, does not enable interactions by default, adds no watermark, and never blindly retries an unknown posting outcome.
